The Bulls acquired Toko Shengelia from the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday in exchange for former first-round pick Marquis Teague.
Shengelia is currently is his second NBA season and has played 17 games for the Nets this campaign, averaging 1.5 points and 8.1 minutes per game. He was originally drafted second overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2012 draft.
In his second season out of the University of Kentucky, Teague — like Shengelia — has spent time going back and forth between the Bulls and the team's D-League affiliate. In 68 regular-season games, he's averaged 2.1 points and 9.3 minutes per game.
Shengelia will wear No. 7 with the Bulls.
