Tom Thibodeau and the Chicago Bulls arrived in Rio de Janeiro Wednesday afternoon to prepare for their matchup with the Washington Wizards on Saturday.
Thibodeau said the trip was a long one but that his team is ready and focused for the unique experience.
"Yeah, it's great. Flew all night, right to the gym, couldn't ask for anything better than that," he told Bulls TV with a smile. "So it's been a good day, we're excited to be here."
One of the highlights of the four-day trip overseas thus far has been the tiny gym the team will practice in before taking on John Wall and co. over the weekend.

"It just reminds me of one of those old-school gyms and it has that feel of a gym that everyone, at one point or another, they had a gym like this," Thibodeau said. "And when you think about the love of the game, actually the floor is great just like, you could tell there's a lot of history to it, so it's fun to be here."
The game Saturday will be the first played in Brazil in NBA history, something Thibodeau said honors him, both to represent the organization and league.
"It's great. It's an honor and a privilege to represent both the NBA and obviously the Chicago Bulls," he said. "So we're proud to be here, we're excited about this opportunity and we're looking forward to our four days here."
