The Chicago Bulls announced Thursday morning that the team has assigned guard Marquis Teague to the Iowa Energy of the NBA Development League (D-League).
Teague has appeared in 19 games for the Bulls this season and averaged 2.4 points, 1.5 assists and one rebound in 12.7 minutes per game.
Earlier this month, Teague was en route to Iowa when the team recalled him after an injury to Mike James.
Teague’s minutes decreased even further with the emergence of newly-signed backup point guard D.J. Augustin.
Teague was selected by Chicago in the first round (29th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft after helping lead the University of Kentucky to the NCAA championship in 2012.
