The Bulls have signed forward Cartier Martin to a 10-day contract, the team announced on their official website Friday.

Martin puts the Bulls' roster at 13 after the team completed a trade for Luol Deng to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Andrew Bynum and three draft picks earlier in the week. Chicago waived Bynum to avoid paying him $6.5 million, leaving an empty roster spot.

Martin is in his sixth year in the NBA and played in 25 games for the Atlanta Hawks earlier this season, averaging 6.6 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists in 17.5 minutes per game.

Martin went undrafted in 2008 before signing with the Charlotte Bobcats. He has spent time with Golden State and Washington during his career.

In 186 career games (11 starts), Martin is averaging 5.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 14.6 minutes per game.
