But what about Taj Gibson?
Reports came out Friday indicating the Bulls may have Gibson on the trade block, and they've allegedly discussed a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats.
Gibson is due to make at least $8 million per season over the next three years, and if the Bulls rid themselves of that contract, they may be able to make a run at a superstar like Carmelo Anthony in free agency.
That is, if Melo winds up as a free agent, which Sam Smith doesn't think will happen. The Bulls.com beat writer joined SportsTalk Live and said the Carmelo Anthony-to-the-Bulls storyline is overblown.
