The pro-tank crowd hasn't been pleased with the Bulls play as of late. Winners of seven of their last 10 games, Chicago is in the mix for a playoff spot in the lowly Eastern Conference. And a spot in the NBA Draft lottery seems like a distant memory.
Despite trading All-Star forward Luol Deng and losing former MVP Derrick Rose to another season-ending injury, Tom Thibodeau's ragtag group has banded together and sit at 21-21 just a game past the midway point of the season.
Former Bulls center and three-time NBA champion Bill Cartwright, who will be inducted into the Sacramento Sports Hall of Fame this weekend, joined SportsNet Central to share his thoughts on the Bulls' recent play.
"They're without their two best players," Cartwright said. "You've got to give them credit. They could have gone either way. They could have just not continued to play with the same focus they had been playing with. It's a tribute to them, it's a tribute to Thibs keeping them going.
