Before Derrick Rose returned to the floor in Las Vegas and looked like his old, confident self at Team USA training camp Monday, he had a little PR to take care of first.
The Bulls point guard unveiled the newest basketball shoe in his adidas collection, the D Rose 5 Boost, on Sunday during an event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in which he admitted he couldn't wait to have his doubters "eat their words."
Rose was joined by the newest member of the adidas team, Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard, who also unveiled the Crazy Light Boost at the event. The night was emceed by NBA veteran Greg Anthony with the purpose of introducing the basketball world to Boost technology, which "brings game-changing energy return, comfort and responsiveness to players when they need them most."

Rose and Lillard also were joined by some of adidas' other NBA players, including Bulls center Joakim Noah and Celtics rookie Marcus Smart. Jrue Holiday, Jeff Teague, Tim Hardaway and Arron Afflalo were all in attendance to try out the new technology.
It was a big offseason for adidas bringing in Lillard, one of the bright young faces of the NBA, in addition to rookies Andrew Wiggins (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers). The company also brought in Australia's Dante Exum (Utah Jazz).
