Derrick Rose lands on Sports Illustrated cover

In September, one Chicago superstar, Blackhawks' Patrick Kane, landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated during the NHL preview edition.

And for Sports Illustrated's NBA preview issue released Wednesday, Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is featured on the regional cover sporting Chicago's red road uniform.

Rose is one of four other players/teams to earn the cover spot, joining Golden State's Stephen Curry, Houston's Dwight Howard, and Brooklyn's new head coach Jason Kidd and his starting five.

Inside the issue, staff writer Jenny Vrentas features Rose's road to recovery following ACL surgery, and also the former MVP's expectations after missing the entire 2012-13 season.
