Kelly Oubre, F, Kansas
6'7" | 203 lbs. | 19 years old
2014-15 stats:
9.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 44.4 field-goal percentage, 35.8 3-point percentage, 21.0 minutes
Selection:
First round, 15th overall by the Atlanta Hawks (traded to Washington)
NBA
Quotable:
"Some people said I'm lazy. Some people said I don't work hard all the time. And that's not true. This year at Kansas, I may have come off lazy because I really didn't understand some of the things that I was doing. It kind of caused me to slow down. When I don't understand something, I slow down to try to get it right. I don't want to do anything or throw anything out there. I want to be a perfectionist."
Analysis:
Not necessarily a need with Otto Porter coming to live in the playoffs this past year, but Oubre has plenty of upside and will be able to be brought along slowly playing for a talented team in Washington.
