Joakim Noah missed Tuesday night’s 78-74 loss to the Bucks at the United Center with what he confirmed as a right-knee injury, though the Bulls initially called it a thigh bruise.
The All-Star center suffered the injury “three or four games ago,” Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said afterwards.

“It’s there and it was improving, but he did something today. He said he moved a certain way and something happened,” Thibodeau explained. “I don’t know if it’s the thigh or the knee. I think it’s right above the knee. It’s a bruise. He got banged and there’s some swelling, and he’s trying to get it out.”
Thibodeau didn’t inform the media that Noah would miss Tuesday’s contest during his pregame availability.
Noah will make the trip to New York, his hometown, for the Bulls’ game Wednesday night against the Knicks.
