President Obama tweets support of Derrick Rose's return

You might have heard by now: Derrick Rose is back.

After almost a year-and-a-half away from the hardwood, #TheReturn's final chapter closed Tuesday night with the Opening Tip in Miami.

Rose, who hasn't played in a meaningful game since he tore his ACL April 28, 2012, dominated headlines in the sports world -- and especially in Chicago -- recently as he made his trek back.

The buzz began to crescendo as the Chicago native turned heads in preseason action, silencing critics and empowering fans.
