The Knicks might be the favorite to sign Carmelo Anthony, but that doesn't mean they're not scared the Bulls could lure their superstar away from them.
According to a report from USA Today's Sam Amick, the Knicks view the Bulls as the only real threat when it comes to teams that could take Anthony away from New York.
Here's what Amick had to say:
"According to two people with knowledge of the situation, the Knicks are confident about their standing in the sweepstakes and consider the Bulls the only real threat among the many suitors."

The Knicks are the favorites because of their ability to offer quite a bit more money to Anthony than any other team in the running. Reportedly, they did just that, promising a max contract to the superstar at a meeting Thursday in California.
The Bulls, though, are generally viewed as the team that gives Anthony the best chance to win a championship right away, as they're roster plus Anthony would be considered significantly better than not only the Knicks' but also the Lakers', Rockets' and Mavericks'. Anthony met with all five of those teams this week. The Lakers reportedly offered their own four-year max contract on Thursday.
Amick also writes that Anthony is expected to make a decision by Monday. It appears the decision could come down to the most money (New York) or the best shot at a title (Chicago).
