Early in the fourth quarter of Friday's Team USA scrimmage in Las Vegas, the crowd went silent as Paul George suffered a gruesome leg injury.
According to multiple reports, George underwent successful surgery, but is expected to miss the entire 2014-15 season with the Indiana Pacers.
A statement released from USA Basketball reports that George suffered a "right leg, open tibia-fibula fracture" and will need to be hospitalized for an additional three days.
But if there's any good news to come out of this, it's that doctors say George suffered no ancillary damage.
