Nothing is set in stone, of course, but with his propensity toward gutting out injuries, it's likely Derrick Rose will play in Tuesday's Game 5 vs. Indiana.

An MRI performed Sunday confirmed Rose, who didn't participate at the team's practice at the Berto Center Monday, has a sprained left ankle, suffered in Saturday's Game 4 loss in Indiana.

"It's not broken, so I'm definitely playing," said Rose. "It's the playoffs. The only thing you can do is take a shot and see how it feels.

"After I take the shot, I shouldn't feel anything, so hopefully I can go out there and perform," he continued. "It's getting better every day. I've been getting treatment on it the last couple of days. Hopefully, it'll be ready Tuesday."

Rose added that the circumstances would have to be extreme for him not to play in the critical matchup.

"It would have to be broken to miss Game 5," he said. "Other than that, I'm playing. At this point, it's minor, where it takes a couple of days to heal and then it's fine. Now, if it was broken or something, I'd probably be panicking."

While Rose expressed concern about missing two days of practice, he was confident his teammates will be able to pick up his slack if he's limited by the injury.

"It's tough not being out there. It's definitely tough. Usually, if you practice well, you'll play well. Me not being able to practice for the last couple of days, it hurts a little bit, but we'll see how things go," he said. "I know that I have my teammates. That's why at the end of Game 4, I really didn't have to score for us to fight our way back into the game."
