While he may still be on the bench for the 2012-2013 season, it is clear that Derrick Rose is anything but forgotten.
ChicagoBusiness.com reports Derrick Rose jersey sales continue to soar, with the point guard’s uniform ranking in the top five in jersey sales for the fourth straight year. Rose is among elite company, as Kobe Bryant and Lebron James are the only other league players to be ranked in the top five each of the four years as well.
Rose remained the number one selling jersey in 2012 despite suffering a season-ending injury in the Bulls’ first game of the playoffs. This year, he is dethroned by the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony. Not only does Anthony assume the top spot for the first time in his career, but he also becomes the first Knicks player to do so since the first list was released following the 2001-2002 season.
The rankings continue with LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Kobe Bryant coming in at second, third, and fourth, respectively.
