Derrick Rose returned to the United Center on Sunday, but it wasn't for the reason you're thinking.
The former MVP took center court and greeted roughly 5,000 kids from local community high schools and programs for "all in for Chicago," Adidas' campaign, while thanking them for their support over the last 18 months during his recovery.

Rose also expressed his excitement about playing basketball again and reiterated to the young fans that the Chicago Bulls' ultimate goal hasn't changed.
“It’s a big year and we’re just trying to stay focused and worry about the Bulls," he said. "But at the same time, we have one goal, and that goal is to win a championship.”
Adidas unveiled the D Rose 4, Rose's newest signature basketball shoe, earlier in the day, that will be launched on Oct. 10.
