There has been plenty of talk of potential coaching changes for the Bears this offseason.

The first change appears to be voluntary with running backs coach Stan Drayton reportedly set to make a move to the University of Texas under recently hired coach Tom Herman. Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune first reported the move and Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times confirmed it.

Drayton has the top two NFL rushers in 2016 on his resume. Drayton was the position coach for Jordan Howard's 1,313 yards this season, a rookie record for the Bears, as well as coaching Cowboys' rookie Ezekiel Elliott, who led the NFL in rushing this season, at Ohio State. Drayton was OSU's running backs coach for the three years prior to taking the Bears job two years ago.

Texas hired Tom Herman from Houston in November to be the program's next head coach.

Most of Drayton's experience is in the collegiate ranks. He had coached with the Packers from 2001-2003 an as offensive quality control coach and special teams coach. His position with the Bears was his first as an NFL running backs coach.
