Forte wont play, Barber wont talk

Coach Lovie Smith did not rule out a Sunday appearance by running back Matt Forte, who has missed the Denver game and three quarters of the Kansas City game with a sprained knee.

But Forte did not practice Wednesday and said that he will not be ready for the Seattle Seahawks.

"I feel all right," Forte said. "Not good enough to play, though."

Meanwhile, Marion Barber received a letter from the NFL officially notifying him that he has not been in compliance with NFL media policy and continued non-compliance will result in discipline in the form of a fine.

Barber has boycotted the media since his first day at Bourbonnais. He left teammates to answer any and all questions about his performance in Denver that included stepping out of bounds and stopping the clock late in the fourth quarter, allowing the Broncos time to tie the game in regulation, and also his fumble in OT in Denver territory that handed the Broncos the opportunity for their winning field goal.
