Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Jordan Hendry underwent successful surgery to repair the torn ACL in his left knee on Tuesday, team physician Dr. Michael Terry said in a statement.

"We anticipate a full recovery in approximately six months," Terry said of Hendry.

Hendry suffered his season-ending injury against the Phoenix Coyotes on Feb. 27. The 27-year-old Hendry has 13 points and 40 penalty minutes in 129 regular-season games with the Blackhawks.
