Blackhawks Hall of Famer Stan Mikita will be the next featured guest on CSN's "Inside Look presented by Cadillac" series, airing Friday, Feb. 3 at 7:00 p.m.
During the half-hour show, Mikita sits down with CSN's Chris Boden and talks about everything from growing up in Czechoslovakia to the 1961 Stanley Cup championship team. The Blackhawks Ambassador also touches on his recent bout with oral cancer.
The thing that stood out to me was Glenn Hall," said Mikita of the '61 Stanley Cup team. "I've never seen a man play goal that fast and that quick; he might've developed the flap. Stop and flap and he's ready to go again, so he was never out of position. When a guy like him can pitch a shutout against a team, especially that team, the Montreal Canadiens (in the first round), and he did it twice in a row, which was the fifth and sixth games, and then we went on against Detroit. But that series thereever since then, I've never seen a goalie play better.

Chris Emma (670TheScore.com), Chris Hine (Chicago Tribune) and national college football analyst Anthony Herron join Kap on the panel. The guys discuss if Jonathan Toews is the Blackhawks’ MVP so far this season, whether a Jimmy Butler trade to the Celtics makes sense and why Rob Manfred is focused on shaving seconds off of the length of games.
Plus with Jay Cutler heading out the door, who will replace him? And should Northwestern be on the NCAA Tournament bubble after losing again to the Illini?
On the latest Hawks Talk Podcast, Pat Boyle talks with Steve Konroyd about Jonathan Toews' recent scoring surge and whether the recent line combinations will be the 12 we see in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
They also discuss what beating the Wild twice in 13 days means for the Blackhawks in the big picture. And, following Joel Quenneville's 400th career win with the Blackhawks, the guys wonder whether Coach Q gets enough credit for keeping this team in the Stanley Cup conversation every year.
Plus, Konroyd chimes in on whether he thinks Stan Bowman will make a move before the March 1 trade deadline.
