Report: Bulls waive point guard Spencer Dinwiddie

Spencer Dinwiddie's brief tenure as a member of the Bulls has come to an end.

According to Shams Charania of The Vertical, the Bulls have waived the 23-year-old point guard.

The Bulls acquired Dinwiddie from the Detroit Pistons for power forward Cameron Bairstow back on June 17. Coincidentally, the Pistons will release Bairstow after signing San Antonio Spurs center Boban Marjanovic to an offer sheet on Thursday.

Dinwiddie, a second round pick out of the University of Colorado in 2014, averaged 4.4 points, 2.7 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 13.3 minutes in a reserve role for the Pistons the past two seasons.

Dinwiddie's release comes in a series of roster moves for the Bulls over the past 24 hours.

The Bulls officially announced the signing of Rajon Rondo earlier Thursday. The Bulls also have a two-year agreement with Dwyane Wade, but the deal won't become official until the trades of Mike Dunleavy to the Cleveland Cavaliers and Jose Calderon to the Los Angeles Lakers are complete.

Ironically, Dinwiddie tweeted about Wade joining the Bulls on Wednesday night.
