Chicago grocery store crafts Cubs-themed treats

The Cubs are taking Chicago by storm this fall and in anticipation of the beginning of the postseason, Goddess and Grocer has crafted a bunch of cool Cubs-themed treats.

First up is the Cubs cake. The current version includes a blue "W" on top of the cake:

The cake goes for $7 per slice or $80 for an entire 10-inch cake. It first became available Oct. 4 and will be available throughout the Cubs' postseason run.

There are also cupcakes and other treats to satisfy that sweet tooth:

Goodess and Grocer also came up with two Cubs-oriented sandwiches after Rizzo and Jake Arrieta:

The Rizzo - Chipotle braised carnitas in a torta, loaded with black bean corn relish, tomatillo salsa, queso fresco, avocado, and cilantro cream.

The Jake - Grilled chicken breast with edamame hummus, broccoli chard slaw, and peanut ginger sauce served in a whole wheat wrap.

A portion of the proceeds from the cake and sandwich sales will go to the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation.

Goddess and Grocer has seven locations in Chicago, including one on Damen in Bucktown.
