White Sox morning roundup

From yesterday:

The White Sox beat Houston 5-1 in an all-around good game, with Chris Sale striking out six in four innings and Adam Dunn belting his sixth home run of the preseason. Spring training probably couldn't have gone much better for either Sale or Dunn, to say the least.

Speaking of Dunn, Robin Ventura hinted he'll hit third -- which he did Tuesday, going 2-4 in the process.

And the last time the White Sox were in Houston, this happened:

Bill Melton joined Mark Schanowski to look ahead to the upcoming White Sox season. Melton will also join Chuck Garfien down in Texas for a one-hour edition of White Sox Pregame Live on Opening Day -- Friday's full TV slate on Comcast SportsNet can be found here.

Luckily, Melton, Garfien and the whole White Sox crew weren't in Texas on Tuesday, because a tornado passed right by Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Rangers catcher Mike Napoli took video of it, with the gusts getting strong enough to whip the tarp around like a plastic bag.

Season preview week rolled on with a look at the White Sox outfield, which has a chance to be great or disappointing.

Around the division: Ubaldo Jimenez is appealing his five-game suspension, Aaron Gleeman previews the Twins, Joakim Soria underwent successful Tommy John surgery and Brandon Inge is actually going to play some second base for the Tigers.
