White Sox morning roundup

From yesterday:

A report has the Blue Jays talking with the White Sox about John Danks andor Carlos Quentin, which would fit with the theme of "the White Sox love to deal with the Blue Jays." The last two trades Kenny Williams has made (involving Sergio Santos and Edwin JacksonMark Teahen) have been with Toronto, so maybe a third is in order in the coming weeks.

If you're looking for some glimmer of hope about Adam Dunn's 2012, consider that he'll play half his games in the best park for home runs in the AL Central.

Ever wonder what three White Sox pitchers have beaned four batters in a single outing? We've got you covered there, along with a note on an outing that, in retrospect, is pretty funny by Damaso Marte in 2005.

James at White Sox Observer offers his take on Frank Thomas' comments on Ryan Braun, while Colin at South Side Sox examines the upshot of the White Sox potential rebuilding efforts.

Around the division:

Kansas City signed Yuniesky Betancourt to a one-year, 2 million deal. It's hilarious from the standpoint of "errors for some, horrible plate discipline for others" but it's actually about in line for what the market should dictate. That being said, Betancourt is not a good player, and it'll be nice for Sox pitchers to face him and Sox hitters to bat balls toward him next year.

Royals Review also looked at the Betancourt signing, noting that it's a sign that Dayton Moore isn't the guy who can put together a 90-win team in Kansas City.

And finally, Michael Cuddyer left Minnesota for Colorado, but did so in pretty classy fashion. Sounds kind of familiar. He'll wear No. 3 with the Rockies to honor the late Harmon Killebrew, which is pretty neat.
