Steve Bartman's name started popping up on social media again Wednesday evening.
For those watching the sixth inning of the nightcap of Tuesday's Cubs-Yankees doubleheader, Alfonso Soriano had a run-in with a fan while trying to catch a ball down the left-field line at Yankee Stadium.

Soriano held on to the ball, despite the fan's best efforts. As the icing on the cake, the fan was sporting a Ron Santo Cubs jersey:

Soriano's reaction is pretty great, flashing his patented smile as he tossed the ball back to the infield.
You have to give the fan credit: That may have been the spark the Cubs offense needed to bust out of their slump, as they were held scoreless in Wednesday's doubleheader.
