It's been quite the week for Cubs president of business operations Crane Kenney.
Kenney made the rounds this week, laying out the blueprint for the $575 million Wrigley Field renovation project. And he won't be going anywhere anytime soon.
While making an appearance on WSCR-AM 670 Saturday morning, Kenney announced he has signed a five-extension with the Cubs.
“Thank God it is not a popularity contest with the Ricketts,” Kenney said. “I know where I stand there. Tom just extended my contract through 2019. We’re locked in to this thing for the long-term to get it done.”
