Cubs magician Simon Winthrop: It was ‘high energy and fun'

Simon Winthrop isn't sure if his impromptu magic performance in the Cubs' locker room before Tuesday's victory was his doing, but he's sure enjoying it.

The magician joined Kap & Haugh Thursday to discuss how he was chosen to perform for the Cubs, gave some insight into the tricks he performed and shared some fun anecdotes about the other celebrities he's done his magic in front of.

The Morton Grove, Ill., native described the Cubs locker room as "15-20 minutes of high energy and fun," and said his favorite part of the evening was seeing the Cubs earn a 1-0 victory.

"When Maddon and the team won the game, that was it for me," he said. "They invited me, they got me amazing seats and I saw the score and I was like, 'That's it.' And I was super, super happy."
