Cubs prospect Baez hit a 'majestic, soaring blast' last night

When Javier Baez really connects on a ball, it's a beautiful sight for Cubs fans. Some, like Mick Gillispie of the Smokies on the Radio, may even call it "majestic."

The 20-year-old Baez crushed his 30th home run of the season Thursday night for Double-A Tennessee, a shot to center that proved to be the game-winner for the Smokies.

Gillispie, the voice of the Smokies, called it a "majestic, soaring blast."

It was the 13th homer in just 37 games for Baez at Tennessee, where he boasts a .614 slugging percentage and .962 OPS. He has 30 homers, 30 doubles, 92 RBI and 85 runs across two levels this season.
