Kris Bryant hasn't slowed down one bit since his record-setting season at University of San Diego.
The Cubs' No. 2 pick continued to make an impact with his bat, sharing the Arizona Fall League Player of the Week with Brewers prospect Mitch Haniger.
In the first week of action in the AFL showcase, Bryant collected seven hits in three games, including two homers. This coming after hitting .336 with a .688 slugging percentage across three levels in the Cubs system this summer.
Just a few short months after he was drafted, Bryant advanced all the way to High-A Daytona, where he hit five homers and drove in 14 runs with a 1.106 OPS in 16 games.
Albert Almora, the Cubs' first-round pick in 2012, also got off to a hot start in AFL play and was nominated for the Week 1 Player of the Week honor. Entering play Tuesday, Almora led the league with a .600 average, collecting six hits and six RBI in just two games.
