The Ron Santo memorabilia found in a dumpster outside Wrigley Field earlier this week was collected by rooftop owner Beth Murphy.
The items were first seen by several media members waiting to interview Dale Sveum on his dismissal from the club. The items included signs that read "We'll miss you Ron!" and "Ron Santo Memorial," along with two large posters signed by fans from the 2011 Cubs Convention.
According to the Chicago Tribune, Murphy recovered the items on Wednesday.
Murphy, the owner of Murphy's Bleachers, sent a bartender to retrieve the items so the restaurant can display the memorabilia. Several years ago, she recovered old Cubs jackets from a dumpster at Wrigley Field.
The Cubs called the trashing a mistake and apologized for the actions.
Murphy contacted the Santo family and agreed to give Jeff Santo the memorabilia on Saturday.
