Former Chicago Cubs Carlos Zambrano was involved in a bench-clearing brawl during Game 3 of the Venezuelan Winter League Championship series Saturday night between Navegantes del Magallanes and Caribes de Anzoátegui.

Zambrano, who is as known for his violent streak as he is for his MLB career on the mound, apparently did not appreciate Caribes’ Mayckol Guaipe’s pitch hitting teammate Ezequiel Carrera in the ribs. And after words were exchanged between Guaipe and Carrera, both teams rushed the field and chaos ensued. Zambrano led the pack, throwing punches — though most didn't connect — and had to be restrained by multiple teammates. No injuries were reported.

Former Cubs prospect Robinson Chirinos helped get things started by drilling a home run and watching it. Evidently, Guaipe took exception to how long Chirinos admired the ball.
