Old Style and the Cubs were synonymous with each other for a generation.
For 63 years, Pabst had Old Style as the brand-name beer at Wrigley Field, but that changed last summer when Anheuser Busch InBev took over as the team's official beer partner.
Now, Pabst's investor, C. Dean Metropoulos, is searching for a new owner for the brewing company. The company is expected to sell for anywhere from $500 million to $1 bilion.
Pabst made a push to stick around Wrigley Field in some capacity for 2014 and beyond, but the Cubs have not announced yet whether Old Style would still remain an option for fans at the Friendly Confines.
