One of the joys of going to an MLB game as a child is bringing your mitt and hoping you'll have the opportunity to catch a foul ball.
That joy turned to sadness for one kid during Sunday's Cubs game in San Diego.

But don't worry, this story has a happy ending.
During the eighth inning, the Padres ball girl handled a foul ball and gave the souvenir to Zack who was sitting in the first row:
After seeing his brother with the ball, the younger child clutched his dad's arm with tears running down his face.
Then grandpa came to the rescue ... so everybody thought:
The tears didn't stop after the ball girl gave the baseball to the wrong child:
Finally, the child's mood instantly turned into happiness when a WGN employee handed him a baseball:
