The Cubs made history on Opening Day, but not in the way they would have liked.

First year manager Rick Renteria challenged an out call at first base in the fifth inning of Monday's loss to the Pirates, which marked the first time in MLB history a coach had opted to challenge a call.

Unfortunately, the Cubs also became the first team in MLB history to lose a challenge, as it was confirmed that Samardzija had not beaten the throw.

So Tom Cooper made a little tweak to one of the more famous Cubbie songs:

"As Eddie Vedder once wrote, 'Someday we'll go all the way...and maybe even win a replay.'"

The Blackhawks are also dealing with injury (again), and Northwestern had better be worried about job security if they truly want to form a union and earn wages.

That, and more, in this edition of In Case You Missed It.
