The Cubs have kept their eyes on Jordan Zimmermann for a long time, and they'll get a chance to watch him at Wrigley Field on Tuesday on CSN when he takes the mound for the Nationals.
Bryce Harper is the kind of player you hate to play against but would love to have on your team. The Nationals star enjoys the big stage, so it's no surprise he loves playing at Wrigley Field.
Bryce Harper thinks Kris Bryant deserved to be in the bigs when the season started, but he also gets why the Cubs did what they did: "If I was the Cubs, I would have done the same thing."

Team talk

  • 3y
Behind all the buzz surrounding Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder stood Rodrigo Lopez who actually became one of the biggest off-season stories.
  • 3y
Theo Epstein describes himself as a traditionalist when it comes to his views on baseball, but even he can't argue with the addition of one playoff team to each league. Maybe because he plans on taking full advantage of it.
  • 3y
So much of the winter conversation was about when the Cubs would trade Matt Garza. But Theo Epstein doesn't want to do that, instead he hopes to be a buyer by the time the trade deadline rolls around.
  • 3y
Going back to 1995, what would've changed if the current playoff format -- with two wild cards -- had been in place? For one, the Red Sox would've had the most to lose.
  • 3y
Alfonso Soriano took the top spot in the lineup in an intra-squad scrimmage at Cubs camp. What is the possibility of manager Dale Sveum using Soriano as a leadoff in the future?
  • 3y
The Cubs are hoping that Darwin Barney and Starlin Castro could be building blocks for Theo Epstein's front office and can anchor the team's infield for years to come.
  • 3y
The Cubs understand that absolutely nobody outside the organization believes they have much of a chance this season, but that won't stop them from feeling they can prove doubters wrong.
