The Cubs have had their offensive outbursts this year but recently the North Siders haven't been able to string a series of big games together as they fell to the Marlins at Wrigley on Friday, 2-1.
In hopes of solving the back of the rotation issues, the Cubs acquired former White Sox pitcher Clayton Richard from the Pirates on Friday.
Theo Epstein's front office is still determining how to proceed during the 2015 MLB trade deadline. And they're trying to be realistic about what they should and can acquire.
