The Chicago Cubs and catcher David Ross have agreed to terms on a two-year, $5 million deal.
The Cubs made an interesting gamble by signing Jason Motte to a one-year deal. Now insider Patrick Mooney explains what the 32-year-old pitcher can bring to the North Side.
Jeff Samardzija's arrival on the South Side might not be a long-term deal, as the pitcher is adamant about testing free agency, but the former Cub does add a new zing to the Crosstown rivalry.
