Luol Deng and his Great Britain squad had their best first half of the Olympics but fell apart in the second, getting blown out by Austraila.

Great Britain was up 46-36 at halftime but ended up losing by 31, 106-75.

Deng was held to a tournament-low nine points on 3-of-15 shooting. Despite falling far behind in the fourth quarter, Deng still played by far the most minutes of anyone on the team with 36. He has averaged over 37 minutes per game.

Austrailia connected on 13-of-24 three pointers and San Antonio Spurs backup point guard Patty Mills scored 39 points, including five threes.

Even with one game remaining in group play, Great Britain has been mathematically eliminated from advancing to the knockout round, which begins on Wednesday. They will conclude their Olympic games on Monday against China, who is also winless in the tournament.

31 Days to Kickoff: Wheaton North

CSNChicago.com preps reporter "Edgy" Tim O’Halloran spotlights 100 high school football teams in 100 days. The first 75 team profiles will focus on teams making strides across Chicagoland and elsewhere in the state. Starting July 31, we’ll unveil the @CSNPrepsTop 25 Power Rankings, leading up to kickoff on Friday, Aug. 25.

School: Wheaton North

Head coach: Joe Wardynski

Assistant Coaches: Jack Schomig, Nick Reicher, Evan James, Paul Connor, Travis Cherry, Mike Oleszek, Jeff Butikofer

How they fared in 2016: 4-5 (3-5 DuPage Valley Conference), missed the 2016 IHSA state playoff field

2017 Regular Season Schedule:

August 25th @ Wheaton South

September 1st @ Joliet Catholic

September 8th @ Naperville North

September 15th vs Metea Valley

September 22nd @ Lake Park

September 29th vs Glenbard North

October 6th vs Neuqua Valley

October 13th @ Naperville Central

October 20th vs Waubonsie Valley

Biggest storyline: Can Wheaton North reload and replace kids in a few key spots for 2017?

Names to watch this season: Senior TE Tyler Johnson, Senior DB Jackson Gray

Biggest holes to fill: The Falcons will need to replace graduated three-year starting QB Luke Anthony this summer.

EDGY's Early Take: Year in and year out Wheaton North and head coach Joe Wardynski always seems to find a way to compete in the rugged DuPage Valley. North welcomes back 11 starters (four offense, seven defense) and while the defense has experience the biggest question remain under center and also on the offensive line with just one starter back in senior J'Kolbi Grant. If the Falcons can get its offense in gear, Wheaton North can challenge in the DVC and also for a state playoff spot in 2017.
