Luol Deng and his Great Britain squad had their best first half of the Olympics but fell apart in the second, getting blown out by Austraila.

Great Britain was up 46-36 at halftime but ended up losing by 31, 106-75.

Deng was held to a tournament-low nine points on 3-of-15 shooting. Despite falling far behind in the fourth quarter, Deng still played by far the most minutes of anyone on the team with 36. He has averaged over 37 minutes per game.

Austrailia connected on 13-of-24 three pointers and San Antonio Spurs backup point guard Patty Mills scored 39 points, including five threes.

Even with one game remaining in group play, Great Britain has been mathematically eliminated from advancing to the knockout round, which begins on Wednesday. They will conclude their Olympic games on Monday against China, who is also winless in the tournament.
