Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o of the Premier League is expected to make the move to Major League Soccer in the near future, but it is yet to be determined what team he will play for.
It was initially reported that Eto’o might be heading to Toronto FC, but now several MLS have been connected to the veteran player. The Chicago Fire are among the teams interested in him, as well as the Los Angeles Galaxy, DC United, Club Deportivo Chivas USA and Seattle Sounders, according to ProSoccerTalk.
The 32-year-old has been a proven goal scorer over the course of his career, but has only scored two goals in nine Premier League matches, with two coming in one game against Schalke of the Champions League.
Eto’o is expected to open pre-contract negotiations with MLS clubs in January.
