Fire forward Mike Magee was named to the 2013 MLS Best XI, which honors players at each position on the field, Major League Soccer announced on Tuesday.

After being traded to the Fire from the Los Angeles Galaxy on May 25, Magee earned the first MLS Best XI honor of his career. He scored 15 goals and posted four assists in 22 games with the Fire, following his total of six goals scored with the Galaxy earlier in the season. He’s the 14th player in Fire history to be named to the Best XI.

The 11-year MLS veteran also earned his first career MLS All-Star nomination after being named to the 2013 MLS All-Star Fan XI. The selection marked the 22nd time a Fire player was chosen for the honor.

Additionally, Magee was voted as the MLS Player of the Month by the North American Soccer Reporters for the month of June. He was also recognized as the Fire’s 2013 MVP and Golden Boot winner, thanks in part to three game-winning goals and two game-winning assists.
