Fans of Premier League soccer will have a chance to see one the league's top teams in action on this side of the pond.
The Fire host Tottenham Hotspur in an international friendly on July 26 at Toyota Park.
It's the fifth time the Fire will take on an English team to Chicago, with prior matchups coming against Aston Villa, Manchester United, Everton and Derby County.
“In Chicago, the Fire proudly represents the global game,” Fire chief operating officer Atul Khosla said in a release. “Making the investment to bring a club like Spurs to Toyota Park demonstrates our continued commitment to facilitating the growth of soccer. We welcome the opportunity to showcase Chicago Fire soccer to a broader base of soccer fans, not only here at home, but also those from around the globe.”
Tickets go on sale this month. Season-ticket holders can already purchase tickets to the game, with the general public able to purchase tickets starting Jan. 24.
