Another Arena League dream to watch

BOURBONNAIS, Ill. -- Kurt Warner once went from stocking grocery store shelves to a Super Bowl win and MVP. Along the way was time in the Arena Football League, one of the great examples of why dreams can be good to keep alive.

A day after they brought back former Arena League receiver Rashied Davis, the Bears signed another Arena Leaguer, defensive end Derek Walker to a one-year contract and waived tackle Tyler Hendrickson.

The 6-4, 270-pound defensive lineman comes to the Bears after spending part of the 2012 season with the Chicago Rush. In four games for the Rush, Walker recorded five tackles, three tackles for losses, two sacks, four quarterback hurries, an interception and a blocked kick.

Walker entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Seahawks in 2009 out of the University of Illinois. Hendrickson was an undrafted rookie free agent tackle out of Concordia (MN).
