It may have been a blessing in disguise that Jay Cutler wasn't able to play in Monday night's embarrassing loss to the 49ers. Backup quarterback Jason Campbell took a beating, being sacked six times and pressured 11 other times. The Bears are lucky Campbell even made it through last night's debacle.
Despite the blowout, Cutler believes the Bears are still in the drivers seat.
"It is still one game and we don't need to hit the panic button or have DEFCON 5," Cutler told WMVP radio Monday morning. " It's one game, there's a lot of football left to play and we're still in the drivers seat. We're in a good position and we just got to fix it."

Cutler also took the time to explain the process that went into the process of him and Shea McClellin not being able to suit up due to their concussions.
"Before I even took the test I met with Lovie and our trainers. Me and Shea both passing or not passing the test, everyone was leaning towards us not playing," Cutler said. "They're explanations to me were they get concerned whenever you don't return back to normal and when you stay in that fog for weeks on end, that's when there's a level for concern."
With the Bears NFC North matchup against the Vikings five days away, there's still no word on whether or not Cutler will get the green light to play.
