Dobbins: Cutler actually ran into me

Not many people in Chicago knew who Tim Dobbins was before the Bears 13-6 loss to the Texans on Sunday night.
But after his second-quarter hit left Bears quarterback Jay Cutler with a concussion, theres a good chance he will be a household name as early as Monday morning.
As far as Dobbins was concerned, however, it was Cutler's fault.
I did not hit him in his head, and actually he ran into me, Dobbins said. I just felt like he was going to take off and run with the ball and I thought he was past the line.
Dobbins, a veteran inside linebacker for Houston, nailed Cutler with 2:36 remaining in the first half, but his unnecessary roughness penalty was offset by Cutlers illegal forward pass.
The jarring hit didnt immediately force Cutler to leave the game; he played seven more snaps, but it was obviously severe enough to prevent Cutler from returning after halftime.
As the second half started, Dobbins was just as surprised as Bears fans that Cutler wasn't on the field.
I knew he came out of the game, but I didnt know he had a concussion, Dobbins said.
When asked if he was worried about a fine from the NFL, Dobbins had a defensive response.
Im definitely worried about it, but I felt like it was clean though, Dobbins said. I did not hit him in his head and I felt like I didnt lead with my helmet.
The hit came on what would have been a 42-yard completion to Devin Hester, but the Bears failed to score the rest of the second quarter, and only managed an additional field goal during the rest of a 13-6 loss to the Texans.
I was very surprised he went down to the ground, but I hope he is alright though, Dobbins said. He is definitely a tough quarterback
No matter how tough Cutler is, the fact is he wasnt allowed back on the field when the teams emerged from the locker room after the break. Now there has to be serious doubt of Cutler starting next Monday night in San Francisco or anytime in the near future.
