Ex-Bear Harris' emotional Father's Day journey

Sunday won't be the first Father's Day for former Bears Pro Bowl defensive tackle Tommie Harris, but it will be the first without his wife, Ashley.

In February, six weeks after their marriage, 29-year-old Ashley Harris passed away from natural causes after having swelling in the brain. Tommie and Ashley had two children: Tyson and eight-month-old Tinsley.

In a video for NFL.com, Harris talks about his late wife whom he affectionately called "Sunshine," and life without her while telling the story of his philanthropic efforts with "Pros for Africa," where he helps raise money for the war-torn country including feeding and caring for children devastated by warlord Joseph Kony.

In March, Harris made the trek back to Tanzania, helping build a water well for one village that is now named "Ashley's Well." In South Sudan, he helped build the "Ashley Harris Sunshine School."

Bears wide receiver Johnny Knox and running back Matt Forte share their thoughts on Tommie and his wife. You can watch the entire story by clicking here.
