Henry Melton made several derogatory comments about Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola on Wednesday, before the Bears defensive tackle was announced as a Pro Bowl starter. Melton said Raiola was old and a dirty player but one who did more chirping than acting.
Hes old and he just talks, Melton said.
And he listens.
Raiola declared Melton a clown in my book, reported Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.
Raiola mocked Meltons selection to the Pro Bowl over the likes of Detroit teammate Ndamukong Suh and Minnesotas Kevin Williams.
This guy made the Pro Bowl? Raiola marveled. Over Kevin Williams, who worked through injuries all year? Over Suh, whos a better player than this guy? Come on.
Its tiresome, especially from a guy like this, a guy that didnt even play the last two weeks...In my book, hes a clown. Thats all I got.
