Marshall to Suh: ‘What you did to Jay wasnt cool'

All the usual right things were said after Monday nights game, that Ndamukong Suhs sack that left Jay Cutler with bruised ribs was clean and part of the game.

Wide receiver Brandon Marshall was having none of it.

Suh tucked in Cutlers arm as he was driving the Bears quarterback into the turf, a move that increased the possibility of injury. Suh, as is his custom after his various actions on the edge, said he wasnt trying to injure Cutler, contrary to all appearances.

Marshall (@BMarshall) tweeted early Tuesday morning:

A Suh. What u did to Jay wasn't cool. Great players don't have to do that.

And:

A Suh. Something I've learned and now passing down to you. Succeed with character

No immediate tweet back from Suh.

Time waits for no Bearsor is the other way around?

At some point all of those stories about the aging Bears defense will be accurate. They just werent two years ago, werent last year and still arent.

Charles Tillman shackled All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who did not catch a pass until late in the third quarter and had three for the game (of the 11 thrown to him). Tillman was credited with seven solo tackles, two pass breakups (one in the end zone) and two forced fumbles.

Lance Briggs forced a fumble by ripping the ball out of a running backs hands to go with eight tackles. Julius Peppers had a sack, a tackle for loss, two quarterback hits and recovered the fumble that Briggs caused.

Brian Urlacher had seven tackles, one for loss, a pass broken up and recovered the goal-line fumble caused by defensive tackle Henry Melton.

People say theyre getting older and stuff like that, said guard Rob Sims. But theyre not that old, know what I mean? Brian Urlacher is still playing well. Those guys are together for a reason and it shows.

Sick bay

The Bears took the highlight hit when Cutler was knocked out for a time with sore ribs after that Suh sack but the Lions took the harder blows.

Nickel wide receiver Nate Burleson was lost for the season with a broken leg.
