Vikings' Winfield: Marshall is the best receiver in the game

MINNEAPOLIS -- Brandon Marshalls 16-yard touchdown catch in the final minutes of Sundays 21-14 loss to the Vikings gave him the most receptions in a single-season in Chicago Bears history. Marshalls 101 receptions top Marty Bookers 100 from the 2001 season, and Marshall still has three games to play.

"In my eyes Marshall is the best receiver in the game," Minnesota Vikings cornerback Antoine Winfield said. "I put him up there with Calvin Johnson. That guy is a problem."

"He and Cutler are always on the same page. Cutler is going to give him opportunities to make plays, and he made a few today."

Vikings defensive end Jared Allen has one word that he feels best describes Marshall on the field. Coincidentally it just happens to be Marshalls nickname too.

"He's a beast," Allen told CSNChicago.com. "To have a man that big and that physical playing that position is good.

Although Marshall became the most prolific receiver in any Bears season ever, the fact still remains it came on a day where Chicago lost for the fourth time in five weeks.

Cutler just throws him the ball and we knew he was going to get his," Allen said. "We couldn't let him take the top off on us and I think we did that for the most part."
