Patrick Sharp scored on a 2-on-0 breakaway with a little over 12 minutes remaining, and Dave Bolland scored in the shootout to give the Blackhawks a 4-3 victory over the St. Louis Blues on Thursday night.

The Blackhawks now have 95 points and remain in sixth place, one point behind fifth-place Nashville, who the Blackhawks will play Saturday night.

The Blackhawks could clinch a playoff berth if Phoenix loses in regulation to the Sharks later tonight. As of now, the Coyotes are up 1-0.

Bryan Bickell scored early for the Blackhawks. But the Blues scored quick goals after Bickell and Sharp tallied theirs for the Blackhawks. Alex Steen scored just nine seconds after Bickell in the first period and Jason Arnott had an unassisted goal 55 seconds after Sharp's. David Perron deflected one in with 1:32 remaining in regulation to tie it for the Blues.
