Blackhawks' back-to-back success will be key next season

Upon closer examination of the Blackhawks 2012-13 regular-season schedule, the league didn't do the Hawks any favors when it comes to getting rest.

Along with the Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders, the Blackhawks play more sets of back-to-back games than anyone (16). By comparison, the San Jose Sharks have the fewest sets with nine.

Below are all of the Blackhawks back-to-back games:

1: Friday, Nov. 2 vs. Predators and Saturday, Nov. 3 at Toronto

2: Saturday, Nov. 10 at Dallas and Sunday, Nov. 11 vs. Oilers

3: Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Edmonton and Thursday, Nov. 15 at Vancouver

4: Tuesday, Nov. 20 at San Jose and Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Los Angeles

5: Tuesday, Nov. 27 vs. Kings and Wednesday, Nov. 28 at Minnesota

6: Saturday, Dec. 15 at St. Louis and Sunday, Dec. 16 vs. Flames

7: Sunday, Dec. 30 vs. Edmonton and Monday, Dec. 31 at Columbus

8: Saturday, Jan. 5 at Washington and Sunday, Jan. 6 vs. Red Wings
